I came across this chart on LinkedIn and wondered if this could be accurate. The actual numbers are S&P 500 12/31/1999 – 1469.25 / S&P 500 12/31/2017 – 2673.61. This is a gain of 81.97%, or 3.38% annualized. Add in dividends and you’re up to 5.40% (see ^SP500TR at finance.yahoo.com) The 2 for 1 Index® has returned 10.92% annualized over the same period and the newsletter portfolio (my IRA account) has returned 10.07%.
